Our next Dulcimer gathering will be on September 16, 2023, at the Oasis pavilion at The Bridgewater Retirement Home (where we had it last year) and will again include a carry-in meal.  It will be our 3rd gathering of 2023 and our annual club meeting. It will be hosted by the Bridgewater group – the Joyful Noise.  Some of our founding members are going to play for us as we honor those that had the vision to organize The Blue Ridge Mountain Dulcimer Players Club.

    The club will provide BBQ and buns and coleslaw and water, and we are asking everyone to bring a dish to share.   Most of the tunes we will play are in the Dave Haas Jam Book.  Come around 10:00 to get set up and ready to play at 10:30 am – until lunch. Stay and jam after lunch, if you want to.  A list of jam tunes will be provided in a later correspondence. We’d love to hear solos or duets or small groups – just let Dinah know so we can provide time for you.

Right before lunch, we will hold our annual meeting. Agenda items for discussion will include our gathering schedule for next year, and a possible workshop next spring.

SAVE THE DATE: December 9, 2023 at 10:30. Our dulcimer club is already planning for the 4th dulcimer gathering – on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Waynesboro Library -starting at 10:30 am.  We would like for the 4 regional groups, and other smaller groups, to play 2-3 Christmas/winter tunes. In order to avoid duplication of tunes (NO—we will NOT have 10 versions of LITTLE DRUMMER BOY), communicate with Dinah before you finalize your Christmas selection.
