Our March Gathering started with a springtime theme and continued with sharing some jam tunes and hearing some individual club member’s contributions. It was a joyous gathering with an almost standing room only crowd which included some welcome visitors! Mack Room B was filled to the brim! We look forward to our next session in May, in the Waynesboro Library!

Heart Strings from the Woodstock area were the planners for our springtime program, and shared several selections celebrating the advent of spring, including the above clips of Keep on the Sunnyside and When the Red, Red, Robin Came Bob, Bob, Bobin’ Along.

Heart Strings had a great selection for our jam sharing: Down in the Valley, I’ll Fly Away, Oh, Susannah, Wildwood Flower and Will the Circle Be Unbroken. The group added some extras, including Mes Parents, River, Gray Cat on a Tennessee Farm, Westphalia Waltz, ending in Go In Peace.

We were treated to delightful solos by Scott, Jim, Penny, Sylvia, Penny and Phyllis. Scott, Jim and Phyllis are included in the clip above. We don’t have video clips our others soloists, but if you took one that you would like to share, send it our way, using the club email at the bottom of the page. Thanks to those who did share their music, and to those who shared their video clips! It is wonderful to hear the different varieties of music the dulcimer can produce!
