Club members enjoyed a musical treat, both vocal and instrumental, under the able leadership of the Dulci-Cats. This Charlottesville-based group hosted our gathering, May 17, 2025 at the Waynesboro Library, on a beautiful spring day.
Our Jam tunes included Boatman and Mississippi Sawyer (excepts in the clip below) as well as Gray Cat on a Tennessee Farm, Spotted Pony, and Rosin the Beau.
The Dulci-Cats’ choices included a variety of genres! They led off with the John Denver sing-along, “Sunshine on My Shoulders” and the Scottish story of “Skye Boat”, a Gaelic tune.
Additional songs were some long-time favorites of many, “Down in the Salley Garden” and “Wild Mountain Thyme”.
Their concluding sing-a-long was the Beatles “Let It Be”.
Scott is working on a folk-favorite, “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”, and we hope to hear more of it next month!
