SEPTEMBER 12 – Jeff Furman Workshop

We look forward to our first workshop since Covid shut us down! Jeff Furman will be offering three classes on Friday, September 12. We are excited! Jeff comes to us from Chapel Hill, North Carolina and brings 37 years of musical performance experience. His gentle, humorous teaching
style has made him a very popular instructor at numerous mountain festivals, and his expressive, fluid playing with selections from Celtic, Old Time, Irish and Appalachian styles make for a very special concert experience!

SEPTEMBER 13 – Dulcimer Gathering, Picnic
            & Concert

Gather in The STUDIO in the Bridgewater Retirement Community- open to all club members, whether or not you attended Jeff Furman’s Friday Workshops.
We begin this Gathering with a TWIST and finish with a TREAT
We’re calling this different beginning a time for 
        LISTENING, HEARING, FEELING, UNDERSTANDING.

A few individuals and one or two groups have each volunteered to play a tune.  We will LISTEN.  And Jeff Furman will lead us in a discussion 
    …what did we Hear/Feel, what did we really like, 
    what could have been a nice addition or variation, etc.  
That way we all learn and grow from the process, regardless of where we are starting.

Following our LISTENING,HEARING, FEELING, UNDERSTANDING time, we will have our INDOOR PICNIC.  The Club is providing BBQ, buns, coleslaw, water, plates, napkins, plastic ware.  COOKIES  and SIDES ARE WELCOMED.

After lunch we plan to JAM FOR AN HOUR.  BRING YOUR JAM BOOK.

Around 2:00 we will be treated to a FREE CONCERT by Jeff Furman
in Mack A&B of Bridgewater Retirement Community. Open to the public – bring family and friends!
