Our Blue Ridge Mountain Dulcimer Players Club invites all dulcimer players and friends in Central Virginia to our fall INDOOR picnic and jam September 12, this Saturday. Please arrive at 10 am, if you plan to play, at Bridgewater Retirement Community, “The Studio,” 100 Virginia Avenue, Bridgewater, VA 22812.

Our current officers have done a wonderful job promoting our club and the love of the dulcimer. But now we will welcome the new officers and give them a chance to extend our club to new horizons.  We have always wanted our club to be inviting and affirming, a community where you can make lifelong friends and connections — all while making beautiful music on our favorite instruments!

We plan to begin at 10:30 am with club reports and introduction of new leadership, and some retiring officers will play tunes with new officers.

Then area groups will each share a prepared tune.  Next, any individuals can wow us with their latest accomplishment. And finally, the entire group will play songs from our Dave Haas Jam Book.

Following this, we will break for our lunchtime indoor picnic.  The club will provide BBQ and buns and coleslaw and beverages.  Please bring a dish of anything you like to share with the group.

The gathering will be from 10:30 am until — we are finished playing and eating!
